An Update & {Baby Sissy's Name!}

Whew. 31 weeks y'all. This Mama must admit... I'm TIRED. It's been 3 weeks of zero sleep, due to my lovely friend RLS {restless leg syndrome} and 32 weeks of puking {I did get a 2 week break though!} So if this sweet little peanut wants to make a slightly early entrance, I'd say go for it girlfriend!

31 Weeks!

I've been keeping busy getting the nursery ready for the girls to share. Bri put up the toddler bed and Baby Sissy's quilt is being quilted! I filled more hoops with fabric, and made a little name hoop art for her...

Our sweet girl has a name! Olivia Grace Edwards.
"But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever." {Psalm 52:8 NIV}

This Mama is craving tomatoes, avocados, strawberries, and ice cream of course! I'm enjoying the bits of Spring sunshine and windows open, baseball on the TV and Summer just around the corner!

If you think of us, please pray for a quick remainder of this pregnancy, for rest for Mama and patience for my sweet Husband and my precious Lovebug. She woke up with a fever of 103 today and Mama is still working on finding a prescription that will help me sleep! Thank you!

Insta-Friday!

Happy Friday! This Mama is very ready for a slower paced schedule this weekend. After taking care of a sick little one, a crazy busy week, and a sleep-deprived Mama, we could use some serious rest around here! So here's a little peek into what's been going on the last 2 weeks...

Working on Baby Sissy's Quilt! I finally finished it and sent it to be quilted!

Monday morning baby chats... precious.
 Poor sweet Lovebug caught a nasty little bug and we spent the week
cleaning up baby puke, and trying to take care of a very sick little girl. Watching
Cars was her only comfort... I have now watched it 50+ times.

She was finally recovered the following Sunday...
A lovely evening playing outside with her Papa.

A much needed break for Mama
... sipping on Starbucks and getting my hair done.

Have a great weekend y'all!

Thank you Martha Stewart... Linguine with butter, parmesan,
asparagus and egg... YUM!

Playing outside, windows are open and we are HAPPY!

Easter Weekend {2013}

It was such a special weekend... one that left me with a full heart, feeling so very blessed. On Friday my sweet girl decorated eggs for the first time. Each day, she reminds me how fast she's growing up. Of course, she bedazzled the eggs with tiny gems and Disney Princess stickers... oh the things we'll do with two girls soon! She covered each one of the dozen eggs and even put them in the carton when she was done. It was such a sweet evening.

Saturday, we celebrated my Dad's 55th Birthday. Family came in town to stay with us, and we had Kansas City BBQ  {of course} at our favorite, Jack Stack. Lovebug was such a little trooper... there was over an hour wait, and she just laughed and played and ran up and down the sidewalk, eating cheerios. We were also out past her bedtime and still had cake and gifts when we got home- she's such an easy-going child.

Resurrection Sunday was a beautiful day... one that began with our Church family, as we celebrated our Savior. Our pastor spoke on Jesus' miracles during his ministry... so very timely. Then we gathered with both sides of our family and had a wonderful brunch at our home. We ate too much food, made sweet memories and enjoyed the gorgeous weather.

I pray you are all enjoying this Spring sunshine as much as we are!
